The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April ('08) that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn't been updated since '95) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota ; western South Dakota ; and extreme eastern Montana .... check THIS out: The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska 's Prudhoe Bay , and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable... at $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.

practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea..' says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature's financial analyst.

Not only Is the released copy of Obama's Birth Certificate in deletable layers, but the letters have white shadowing behind them which no typo writer had the capability of producing in 1961.

AND WHERE IS THE SEAL? A embossed seal is placed on every United States birth certificate EXCEPT Obama's.... The most OBVIOUS missing information is being ignored once again by the media.

Obama's fathers race is listed as African, everybody knows that "African" defines a geographic region, an entire continent, and there are people of every race living in Africa. As WND reported, the long-form birth certificates issued by Kapi'olani to the Nordyke twins have certificate numbers lower than the number given Obama, even though the president purportedly was born at the same hospital a day earlier than the Nordykes.
Note, Susan Nordyke, the first twin, was born at 2:12 p.m. Hawaii time Aug. 5, 1961, and was given certificate No. 151 – 61 – 10637, which was filed with the Hawaii registrar Aug. 11, 1961.
Gretchen Nordyke, the second twin, was born at 2:17 p.m. Hawaii time Aug. 5, 1961, and was given certificate No. 151 – 61 – 10638, which was also filed with the Hawaii registrar Aug. 11, 1961.
Yet, according to the Certification of Live Birth displayed by FactCheck.org during the 2008 presidential campaign – and now according to the long-form birth certificate the White House released yesterday – Barack Obama was given a higher certificate number than the Nordykes.
Note, Obama was given certificate No. 151 – 1961 – 10641, even though he was born Aug. 4, 1961, the day before the Nordyke twins, and his birth was registered with the Hawaii Department of Health registrar three days earlier, Aug. 8, 1961.

In 1961, the birth certificate numbers were not assigned by the hospitals.

Instead, the numbers were stamped to the birth record by the Hawaii Department of Health at the main office in Honolulu.

This is the only place birth certificate numbers were assigned.

At the last step of the process, the documents were accepted by the registrar general, with the date of registration inserted in box No. 22 on the lower right hand corner of the long-form birth certificate.

The date the birth document was accepted by the registrar general was the date the birth certificate number was stamped on the birth record.

The birth certificate number was stamped on the form by a rubber stamp that automatically increased by one each time a birth certificate was stamped.

The question, therefore, is how was it possible that the Nordyke twins had their birth certificates accepted by the registrar general in Hawaii three days later than the registrar general accepted Obama's birth certificate, when the twins' numbers are lower than Obama's number?

Now: The global mean temperature has fallen for four years in a row, which is why you stopped hearing details about the actual global temperature, even while they carry on about taxing you to deal with it…how long before they start predicting an ice age?

And in 1974, they say there has been global cooling for 40 years…the entire time of which they’d been claiming the earth was getting hotter! Of course NOW they are talking about the earth “warming for the past century”, again ignoring that they spent much of that century claiming we were entering an ice age.
The fact is that the mean temperature of the planet is, and should be, always wavering up or down, a bit, because this is a natural world, not a climate-controlled office. So there will always be some silly bureaucrat, in his air-conditioned ivory tower, who looks at which way it’s going right now, draws up a chart as if this is permanant, realizes how much fear can increase his funding, and proclaims doom for all of humanity.

WSJ: Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl of Arizona said there wasn't time to deal with his concerns over a treaty that would cut U.S. and Russian strategic nuclear weapons deployments by about one third and restore weapons inspections that were halted nearly a year ago. Treaty ratification requires 67 votes in the Senate. Mr. Kyl's decision likely pushes a vote to next year, when the Senate Democratic majority shrinks to 53 from 58.

Mr. Kyl's announcement took the White House by surprise. A White House official said that just last Friday, officials from the Defense Department, the National Nuclear Security Administration and the U.S. Strategic Command briefed the senator and offered an additional $4.1 billion over the next five years that he had demanded to modernize the remaining nuclear arsenal.

TSA Threatening to Fine Over $11,000 for Refusal of 'Private' Pat Downs

Transportation Security Administration has opened an investigation targeting John Tyner, 31 of Oceanside who told TSA "if you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested". TSA is threatening to fine him over $11,000 for refusing to take part in Governments unjust searches with full body scans and 'private part' pat-down. Clearly a infringement on Americans rights.

SignONSanDiego: Michael J. Aguilar, chief of the TSA office in San Diego, called a press conference at the airport Monday afternoon to announce the probe. The investigation could lead to prosecution and “civil penalties” of up to $11,000, he said.

After a world rejection of Obama's inexperienced economic policies, he marched forward into a unpopular nuclear treaty with Russia who according to a report published by the U.S State Department in April, 2009, has 3,909 nuclear warheads, while the US has 5,576. Obama's intention is to cut these numbers by 1/3 while opening our facilities to inspection by other Countries at any time.

FOX: The START treaty, which has been pending in the Senate for months,would reduce the limit on strategic warheads to 1,550 for each country from the current ceiling of 2,200. It also would set up new procedures to allow both countries to inspect each others arsenals to verify compliance.

WSJ: "I reiterated my commitment to get the START Treaty done during the lame duck session, and I've communicated to Congress that it is a top priority," Mr. Obama told reporters Sunday morning ahead of his return flight to Washington.

The New START treaty would trim the arsenals of the largest two nuclear nations by nearly a third and limit the number of nuclear weapons delivery systems—land-based missiles, submarine launchers and bombers. Each side would have to reduce its deployed strategic nuclear arsenal to 1,550 over seven years. Perhaps more urgently, it would restore a system of arms-control verification that lapsed when the last START treaty, negotiated by President George H.W. Bush, expired more than a year ago.

The Obama White House has secured some Republican support, from key senators such as Richard Lugar, the top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. But some Republicans who voted the treaty out of committee, such as Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee, now say they want to delay a vote until the new Congress, when Republicans will have more authority.

Executive Order 9066: Japanese Relocation (Internment Camps) signed by Roosevelt

How Not to Run A Tea Party: Deleting Members for Wanting a Positive Message Going Forward

Nov 3rd 2010- Rockford Tea Party Leader/Ruler, David Hale showed NO tolerance for a long time member returning with a positive message.

As a member(former I suppose) of Rockford IL Tea Party, I received the day after election news letter in the form of a e-mail along with being tagged in a Facebook note. In it everyone was asked:

"That is now the question I am asking the Tea Party of Rockford. Let me know which way you want to go. Seriously think about your answer. Seriously think about our losses in Illinois and in Rockford. Just because we put our local Republican Incumbents back into office means nothing. Just because we kept Republican controlled seats is minimally valuable. ?"

I responded: Tara Vargas: I think Rockford Tea would attract more people if the message was really positive and hopeful, even on the darkest of days, it's what people like myself look for and gravitate to.

Rockford Tea: The entire email list and repopulating it with new people. We must get money. This will not happen without money. If people will not COMMIT and I mean true real time hard core commitment then I'm not pressing forward. I want true hard core committed boots on the ground. Shameless. Fearless. We cannot bring a Poodle to a Dog Fight.

Tara Vargas: well, people aren't going to be attracted to the Rockford Tea unless the message changes from "we failed" to "promise"/ "a light at the end of the tunnel". Just my opinion ofcourse..

Actually my last attendance was in June 2010, before my surgery. It went on from there, a intense debate on how "our" or maybe I should say David's Tea Party is ran. Others asked for a positive messsage too, but this Tea Party Dictator wasn't having any of it. Instead, he childishly lashed out. Ultimately David Hale, Rockford Tea Parties Ruler, deleted and blocked me. I left him a message on his cell phone stating I WILL ATTEND THE NEXT TEA PARTY to discuss his intolerance and ruler like mentality over OUR party and attitude that has lost not gained members. I'm proof of that.

Hello Tea Party

Many people will surely want me to find the silver lining in this dark cloud that has descending on the state of Illinois last night. I've never been one to mince words, and I won't start now. Rockford and Illinois is in deep kimche. With a multi-million dollar debt in Rockford and a 13 billion dollar debt amassed by Pat Quinn and the Democrats in the State, an uncontrolled Immigration Policy, out of control State Spending, and a trigger happy Governor that wants to raise taxes on income we have just seen the people of Illinois destroy their state.

Electing Quinn, Jefferson and a Democratic State Legislature you will see your state income taxes go up, you will see jobs drain from Illinois, you will see an influx of Illegal Immigrants coming here for free State Funded Health Care, you will see that 13 billion dollar debt rise.

I honestly don't know what it takes to change our Government after all that has happened over the last two years. It has been two years of true suffering in Illinois and especially in Rockford. Has your house been forclosed? Guess what your neighbor's has. Travel down any street in Rockford and see what I see. 6-7 houses on every street up for sale. Rockford's unemployment rate is at 21 percent and we put the same people back into office statewide and Chuck Jefferson and Dick Meyers and Margie Mullins locally.

Here in Rockford our crime rate, our property taxes and educational system are all the worst in this state folks and we put Chuck Jefferson back into office so that he can go downstate and tie the hands of our City Leaders further.

Here's the silver lining. We saw big gains at the federal level, and we held the line advanced the flag against the National Socialists, but we got a true beat down in Illinois at the State level. Illinois is officially not a Red State.

Perhaps it will take a 30 percent unemployment rate in Rockford, perhaps it will take rampant crime in Rockford and Winnebago County to finally say enough is enough and throw out a Democrat Sheriff who we all know to be of questionable character at best. When people listen to the Register Star more than the true advocates for the people madness has descended. I am waiting for ONE, JUST ONE, Democrat to have compassion on the Taxpayers. Where is the Compassion for those of us who pay over and above and beyond our so called fair share of taxes? There is no compassion for Taxpayers folks. There is only compassion for their tightly defined constituencies that they cobble together to win elections with, and it is not about compassion. It is about ROBBERY.

I awoke this morning to the Headlines that the Republicans took the Congress, but that in Illinois we couldn't win the Governor's Mansion. I knew we had either one of two roads to take. Continue to fight or know when to fold.

That is now the question I am asking the Tea Party of Rockford. Let me know which way you want to go. Seriously think about your answer. Seriously think about our losses in Illinois and in Rockford. Just because we put our local Republican Incumbents back into office means nothing. Just because we kept Republican controlled seats is minimally valuable.

We needed to take ground advance the flag and move forward. We needed to send a message to incumbent Republicans that we want change, and the way to send that message was with massive upheaval at the polls locally. We didn't see that. What we saw was the status quo. Don't believe for a moment that that will move our local Republicans to a more conservative tax attacking bunch of Officials.

We did not advance the flag and that and that is sad. If you don't or won't come to advance the flag with me, I will not be able to do it on my own. This is not a Hollywood movie where one or two guys takes on the world and wins. This is not a Bible Story where God send 10,000 Angels to back Gideon and the opposition runs away.

This is us here and now fighting for our state. If you are not with us that is fine. We have raised this flag for you as a rallying point, a place to gather our forces and create community and advance the flag together. There is no reason for people to be scattered to the wind. Whether it is fear, arrogance or plain old pride keeping you from joining the Tea Party I don't know, but we got a butt whuppin last night in Rockford and Statewide for Statewide Offices. The only victory we really had was in the County where all the County Board Members we backed won creating a Super Majority in the County that even the often waffling Republican Scott Christenson cannot overcome.

In the coming days and short weeks we will be deciding the direction of the Rockford Tea Party. That will only happen with your input. Without your input there will be no Tea Party. There is nowhere else to go to advance our common purposes and goals. Ryan Petry: Well this dialogue went to Hell in a handbasket. I think there seems to be a disconnect between the mission and the message. As an outsider, but 'somewhat' familiar with David and the purpose of the Rockford Tea Party (merely through fb int...eraction), I feel that it is misguided to alienate those of us who support the mission, but don't actively engage in delivering the message. Each of us has our limitations and degrees to which we are willing to engage in Tea Party initiatives. But each of us is a voter. Each of us has our own unique way of influencing others. I think it's a mistake to bicker and argue when you're on the same side - especially in an argument over semantics. Positivism is important. League of Women Voters Objects Pledge of Allegiance Saying It's "Phony Patriotism" at IL Debate

October 22, 2010- The League of Women Voters acknowledges they NEVER say The Pledge of Allegiance to an Illinois Audience, who made clear they weren't taking any anti-American sentiment at this debate from the moderator, all standing at once, hand over heart and pledged Allegiance to The American Flag despite the liberal objection.

Big Government UPDATE: Illinois’ top League of Women Voters official said “phony patriotism” is driving criticism over a moderator’s reaction when she was asked if the Pledge of Allegiance would be recited before an 8th Congressional District debate this week.

Executive Director Jan Czarnik said what happened at Wednesday’s debate and subsequent criticism directed at moderator Kathy Tate-Bradish was an attempt by supporters of Republican candidate Joe Walsh of McHenry and tea party members to bully the organization.

Czarnik said someone is not a better American just by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

“It’s a phony patriotism issue is what it is,” she said. “They must think it helps their campaign.”

Brought in from the League of Women Voters Evanston branch because she doesn’t live in the 8th Congressional District, Tate-Bradish handled the event at Grayslake Central High School that featured Democratic U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean of Barrington, the Green Party’s Bill Scheurer and Walsh.

Tate-Bradish was asked whether the Pledge of Allegiance would be recited after she went over some ground rules and directed the candidates to make opening statements. The query came from a man in the audience.
As Tate-Bradish explained the debate was not scheduled to start with the pledge, almost all in the crowd of more than 300 stood and enthusiastically recited it anyway. Tate-Bradish, who joined in the pledge, issued a scolding when the crowd finished.

Walsh campaign manager Nick Provenzano said he still did not understand why Tate-Bradish did not appear to welcome the Pledge of Allegiance suggestion. He said it was spontaneous and not orchestrated by Walsh’s campaign.

“That neutral stance (by Tate-Bradish) toward the Pledge of Allegiance is troublesome,” he said.

He is undermining our constitutional system of checks and balances; subverting democratic procedures and the rule of law; presiding over a corrupt, gangster regime; and assaulting the very pillars of traditional capitalism. He has abused his office and violated his oath to uphold the Constitution. His health care overhaul was rammed through Congress. It was - and remains - opposed by a majority of the people. It could only be passed through bribery and political intimidation. The Louisiana Purchase, the Cornhusker Kickback, the $5 billion Medicaid set-aside for Florida Sen. Bill Nelson - taxpayer money was used as a virtual slush fund to buy swing votes. Moreover, the law is blatantly unconstitutional: The federal government does not have the right to coerce every citizen to purchase a good or service. This is not in the Constitution, and it represents an unprecedented expansion of power.

Yet Obamacare's most pernicious aspect is its federal funding of abortion. Pro-lifers are now compelled to have their tax dollars used to subsidize insurance plans that allow for the murder of unborn children. This is more than state-sanctioned infanticide. It violates the conscience rights of religious citizens. Traditionalists - evangelicals, Catholics, Baptists, Muslims, Orthodox Jews - have been made complicit in an abomination that goes against their deepest religious values. As the law is implemented (as in Pennsylvania) the consequences of the abortion provisions will become increasingly apparent. The result will be a cultural civil war. Pro-lifers will become deeply alienated from society; among many, a secession of the heart is taking place.

Mr. Obama is waging a frontal assault on property rights. The BP oil spill is a case in point. BP clearly is responsible for the spill and its massive economic and environmental damage to the Gulf. There is a legal process for claims to be adjudicated, but Mr. Obama has behaved more like Mr. Chavez or Russia's Vladimir Putin: He has bullied BP into setting up a $20 billion compensation fund administered by an Obama appointee. In other words, the assets of a private company are to be raided to serve a political agenda. Billions will be dispensed arbitrarily in compensation to oil-spill victims - much of it to Democratic constituents. This is cronyism and creeping authoritarianism.

Mr. Obama's multicultural socialism seeks to eradicate traditional America. He has created a command-and-control health care system. He has essentially nationalized the big banks, the financial sector, the automakers and the student loan industry. He next wants to pass "cap-and-trade," which would bring industry and manufacturing under the heel of big government. The state is intervening in every aspect of American life - beyond its constitutionally delegated bounds. Under Mr. Obama, the Constitution has become a meaningless scrap of paper.

To provide the shock troops for his socialist takeover, Mr. Obama calls for "comprehensive immigration reform" - granting amnesty to 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens. This would forge a permanent Democratic electoral majority. It would sound the death knell for our national sovereignty. Amnesty rewards lawlessness and criminal behavior; it signifies the surrender of our porous southern border to a massive illegal invasion. It means the death of American nationhood. We will no longer be a country, but the colony of a global socialist empire.

Rather than defending our homeland, Mr. Obama's Justice Department has sued Arizona for its immigration law. He is siding with criminals against his fellow Americans. His actions desecrate his constitutional oath to protect U.S. citizens from enemies foreign and domestic. He is thus encouraging more illegal immigration as Washington refuses to protect our borders. Mr. Obama's decision on this case is treasonous.

As president, he is supposed to respect the rule of law. Instead, his administration has dropped charges of voter intimidation against members of the New Black Panther Party. This was done even though their menacing behavior was caught on tape: men in military garb brandishing clubs and threatening whites at a polling site. A Justice Department lawyer intimately involved in the case, J. Christian Adams, resigned in protest. Mr. Adams says that under Mr. Obama, there is a new policy: Cases involving black defendants and white victims - no matter how much they cry for justice - are not to be prosecuted. This is more than institutionalized racism. It is an abrogation of civil rights laws. The Justice Department's behavior is illegal. It poses a direct threat to the integrity of our democracy and the sanctity of our electoral process.

Corruption in the administration is rampant. Washington no longer has a government; rather, it has a gangster regime. The Chicago way has become the Washington way. Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is a political hit man. He is an amoral, ruthless operator. It was Mr. Emanuel who reached out to Rep. Joe Sestak, Pennsylvania Democrat, offering a high-ranking job in the hopes of persuading Mr. Sestak to pull out of the primary against Sen. Arlen Specter. It was Mr. Emanuel who offered another government position to Andrew Romanoff to do the same in the Colorado Democratic Senate primary. And it was Mr. Emanuel - as the trial of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has revealed - who acted as the go-between to try to have Valerie Jarrett parachuted into Mr. Obama's former Senate seat. The only question was: What did Mr. Blagojevich want in exchange?

CNSNews Reported - The U.S. Treasury has needed to borrow money to pay Social Security benefits in 15 out of the last 25 months on record because the Social Security system was in deficit in those months, with the cost of monthly benefit payments exceeding the Social Security tax revenues flowing into the Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance "trust funds," according to data published by the Social Security Administration.

Because the overall federal budget was in deficit during this entire period, the surplus revenues Social Security earned in the remaining 10 months of the last 25 was used during those months to pay ongoing general government expenses and was not saved to pay future Social Security benefits.

The government gave the Social Security trust funds IOUs for this money.

Prior to August 2008, the Social Security system usually—but not always—ran monthly surpluses, and surplus Social Security taxes were always used by the government to cover deficits in the general federal budget with a promise by the Treasury to eventually pay the money back to the Social Security trust fund when the funds were needed to cover anticipated shortfalls in Social Security revenue. Surplus Social Security tax revenue was never actually set aside to cover these anticipated deficits in Social Security. It was always immediately spent.

In August, the latest month on record, the Social Security system was $8.621 billion in the red, according to the Social Security Administration. That was the fifteenth month since August 2008 in which the system posted a monthly deficit. Back in August 2008, the Social Security system dipped into deficit by $118 million.
For more than decade prior to August 2008, however, the Social Security system ran up an unbroken string of monthly surpluses. The last time before August 2008 that the system posted a deficit in any given month was November 1997, when it ran a $154 million deficit. November was the only month in 1997 that the Social Security system ran a deficit.

In the 259 months from January 1987 to August 2010, according to data published by the Social Security Adminisrtation, Social Security ran deficits in 22 months, or about 8 percent of the time. In the 25 months since August 2008, Social Security has run deficits 60 percent of the time.
In a summary of their annual report released in August, the Social Security trustees predicted that the Social Security system would run an annual deficit in 2010 for the first time since 1983, and that it would also run an annual deficit in 2011. After that, the trustees predicted, Social Security would run “small surpluses” in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and then, barring changes in the system, lurch permanently into the red as the bulk of the Baby Boom moved into retirement and began collecting benefits.
“Social Security expenditures are expected to exceed tax receipts this year for the first time since 1983,” said the trustees.

“The projected deficit of $41 billion this year (excluding interest income) is attributable to the recession and to an expected $25 billion downward adjustment to 2010 income that corrects for excess payroll tax revenue credited to the trust funds in earlier years," the trustees said. "This deficit is expected to shrink substantially for 2011 and to return to small surpluses for years 2012-2014 due to the improving economy. After 2014 deficits are expected to grow rapidly as the baby boom generation’s retirement causes the number of beneficiaries to grow substantially more rapidly than the number of covered workers.”
Mark Lassiter, a spokesman for the Social Security Administration, told CNSNews.com that the recent shortfall was “due, in part, to more beneficiaries coming onto the rolls than originally anticipated due to the economic downturn.”

“There is no significant distinction between OASI and DI in terms of the additional beneficiaries. But the bigger impact is less revenue coming into the system than anticipated due to unemployment,” he said. -Read More

The Washington Times: A federal inspector general is looking into whether the Obama administration used confidential taxpayer information in an effort to attack a political opponent, Koch Industries.

The review was revealed Tuesday by Sen. Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, two weeks after he and a handful of other top Senate Republicans called for the Treasury Department's inspector general for tax issues to look into the matter, saying either administration officials had illegal access to taxpayer information or were inappropriately speculating in public about the company's tax status.

Charles and David Koch, brothers who control the Kansas-based company, are libertarians who have used some of their wealth to fund conservative groups and causes that oppose much of President Obama's agenda. Mr. Obama has singled out the company for criticism in speeches.

In an Aug. 27 briefing with some reporters on calls to restructure the corporate tax code, an unidentified administration official cited Koch Industries, a major privately held energy company, by name, and then seemed to indicate that the company didn't pay any corporate income tax, according to the Wall Street Journal.

"In this country, we have partnerships, we have [S corporations], we have [limited-liability companies], we have a series of entities that do not pay corporate income tax," said the senior administration official, according to press reports. "Some of which are really giant firms - you know, Koch Industries is a multibillion-dollar business."

The Weekly Standard, which first questioned whether the comments crossed a legal line, has reported that the unidentified administration official "appears to have been" Austan Goolsbee, named last month as chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers.

A White House official said Tuesday that the administration will not use the Koch example in the future, but that the comment was "not based on any review of tax filings." Other White House officials have told reporters that the information was publicly available, including in testimony to the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board and on Koch's website.

But an attorney for Koch said in a statement last month that the company does pay corporate income taxes and that information about its structure and tax liability are not publicly available.

Mr. Grassley and his fellow Republicans pointed to that statement in their request for an investigation.
"The statement that Koch is a [nontaxable] pass-through entity implies direct knowledge of Koch's legal and tax status, which would appear to be a violation of Section 6103" of the Internal Revenue Code, the senators wrote. "Alternatively, if the statement was based on speculation, it raises the question of whether the administration speculating about any specific taxpayer's liability is appropriate."

“We estimate that these technologies allow for a 9% improvement in fuel efficiency from current engines,” Lieblein said, adding that the investment will directly create 390 jobs in Coahuila state, where Ramos Arizpe is located.

Another $215 million will go toward upgrading the factory’s production lines to build a new vehicle for the domestic and international markets, she said, noting that the investment will be key to maintaining 400 jobs.
Assembly of the vehicle, which wasn’t named, is set to begin in the last quarter of 2011. GM plans for it to “give long-term viability to this plant by gradually substituting some production volumes.”

Lieblein said General Motors has invested $4.1 billion in Mexico over the last four years.
US taxpayers bailed out GM, next came the Volt, and now this is the payback.
On the bright side, at least there may be fewer Mexicans crossing the border.

Holder announced in February 2009 that the administration would not single out medical marijuana users and suppliers who complied with laws in states such as California, where voters legalized pot for therapeutic purposes in 1996.

The administrations of Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, by contrast, moved aggressively to shut down medical marijuana collectives and raid growers, and won two U.S. Supreme Court rulings upholding their authority.

But the Obama administration has been less receptive to the prospect of a state repealing all criminal penalties for marijuana use by adults.

'Ill-considered scheme'
Gil Kerlikowske, director of President Obama's Office of National Drug Control Policy, co-wrote a newspaper column in August calling Prop. 19 an "ill-considered scheme" that would increase marijuana use and add to health problems and traffic deaths, without delivering the tax revenue that its backers promise.
Holder said Thursday that California, by restricting the authority of state and local officers to seize marijuana, would interfere with efforts to "target drug traffickers who frequently distribute marijuana alongside cocaine and other controlled substances."
"We will vigorously enforce the (federal law) against those individuals and organizations that possess, manufacture or distribute marijuana for recreational use, even if such activities are permitted under state law," the attorney general said.
Hints at lawsuit
He also suggested the federal government might sue to overturn Prop. 19 if it passed, saying the Justice Department "is considering all available legal and policy options."
Obama was more restrained when asked about marijuana enforcement Thursday at a town hall meeting at Howard University in Washington.
The president said the government's resources are limited and suggested that decisions would have to be made between "prosecuting drug kingpins versus somebody with some small amount in terms of possession."
Obama said federal authorities would make that call "based on how we can best enforce the laws that are on the books."
Backers angry
His administration's emphatic opposition to Prop. 19 drew strong reactions from the ballot measure's supporters.
In a statement released by the Yes on 19 campaign, Joseph McNamara, former San Jose police chief, said:
"If the federal government wants to keep fighting the nation's failed 'war on marijuana' while we're in the midst of a sagging economic recovery and two wars, it just proves that the establishment politicians' priorities are wrongly focused on maintaining the status quo."
Any federal crackdown will be just as futile as the government's attempt to stamp out medical marijuana after Californians passed Proposition 215 in 1996, said Dale Gieringer, state director of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.
Despite numerous raids and arrests, he said, "the federal government showed itself incapable of halting the spread of medical marijuana, which is now legally recognized in 14 states and enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of legal patients."

You went on to represent Acorn using Community Reinvestment Act, you pushed for banks to make toxic loans to people using their race instead of qualifications for a determining factor in approving loans. This all contributed to the purchase of Subprimes by Fannie and Freddy leading to the Housing Crisis Economic distress we face today.   Recently, you've chosen to continue your fight for racial reparations asking for $1.15 billion to African American Farmers who were SUPPOSEDLY discriminated against. I don't owe any race anything.

You've pointed the finger of race at the same Tea Party I'm a part of. Being married to a Hispanic with mixed kids I don't appreciate you and your colleagues implying that I'm a racist or that I'd stoop to your level and make that my motive, clearly it's the size of government I'm(we as a nation) are worried about.

Jobless benefits applications rose last week for the first time in three weeks. Despite Obama's seemingly never ending empty promise of shovel ready jobs popping up everywhere, numbers show, companies that would be hiring just aren't feeling secure enough to do so.

The Labor Department says initial claims for unemployment aid rose by 13,000 to a seasonally adjusted 462,000. It was only the second rise in two months.

Despite the ups and down, claims have been stuck near 450,000 all year. Few employers see much reason to create many jobs, and some are still laying off workers.

In addition, cash-strapped state and local governments are cutting jobs, adding to the ranks of those out of work.

Big Journalism's John Nolte is Reporting: Now that the establishment’s favorite comedian, Jon Stewart, has the state-sanctioned approval of no less than the President of the United States for his upcoming “Mock-The-People” rally on October 30th, it only makes sense that Comedy Central’s state-enamored sister company, Barack-The-Vote MTV (both MTV and Comedy Central are owned by Sumner Redstone’s Viacom) would team up to do everything possible to help President Obama’s party in these dire final campaign days when the only question about the coming Republican wave is just how large it will be.

An internal email reveals that MTV is investing heavily in making a success of Jon Stewart’s counter-rally to Glenn Beck’s incredibly successful August event. But the music network’s tactics give the whole affair a taint similar to October 2nd’s “One Nation” rally, where all that Big Labor-SEIU astro-turfing still wasn’t able to reproduce Beck’s grassroots success. Below is a portion of an email that I’m told just went out to some, and maybe all, MTV employees. The wording is chipper and upbeat enough, but the subtext is worthy of an SEIU thug: [emphasis mine -- and I've removed any links for fear they go to private internal servers]:

You may have heard that Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are hosting a little get together on the National Mall in Washington, DC on Saturday, October 30th. … This will be a day when — no matter what transpires from Jon, Stephen, and their special guests — our brothers and sisters at Comedy Central will own the cultural conversation, without question. Who would want to miss that one?

On the morning of October 30th, we’re loading up a fleet of buses here at 1515 Broadway and sending as many of you as we can down to DC for a free one-day, round-trip journey to join in the Rally to Restore Sanity and March to Keep Fear Alive. It’s about a 5 ½ hour trip down 95 to our nation’s capital[.]

In an economy plagued with chronically high unemployment, how would you react to a memo like that? The opening paragraph makes clear that MTV expects you to put your political beliefs aside and take one for the team – in the form of a grueling 11 hour bus ride. The line MTV draws is also clear. Those who choose to attend Stewart’s left-wing event are loyal to the company, and those who choose not to attend … are not. After all, you did pledge allegiance to the “MTV Networks flag,” right?

What’s a conservative to do in a situation like this? You either conform or…

We’ve all worked for companies where a little above and beyond was expected from time to time. But this is something else. No matter how Jon Stewart tries to spin it, his October 30th “Restore Sanity” rally is not only a political event, it’s a political event meant to help the party currently holding power. And we know this because the leader of that party told us so. To pressure an employee to take part in a political rally anathema to his or her personal beliefs crosses a line.

This should come as no surprise, however. MTV is, after all, the same network that just held a “casting call” for the 250 young people needed for a townhall meeting the network was kind enough to arrange for the President just a few weeks before the midterm elections.
Also adding to the whole Stewart astro-turf vibe is Arianna Huffington, who just announced that she’s donating a cool $250k to bus in those who apparently wouldn’t go otherwise:
Arianna Huffington’s surprise gift to Jon Stewart — a convoy of shuttle buses to his “Rally to Restore Sanity” in Washington — was an even bigger surprise to the folks at the Huffington Post.
And the cost of the grand gesture — an estimated $250,000 for 100 buses for thousands of New Yorkers — is making some of Huffington Post’s finance executives wince, according to insiders.
The stink of desperation is pretty overwhelming. Why do these people care so much? Could it be that they’re all suffering from a little Beck-Envy?

Gateway Pundit Reports: On October 12, Scott Swett at the American Thinker reported that Senator Barabara Boxer (D-CA) along with Representatives Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and Henry Waxman (D-CA) secured diplomatic courtesy letters that allowed anti-American Code Pink activists to travel to Fallujah, Iraq. The radicals traveled to Fallujah in late 2004 to donate $600,000 worth of humanitarian aid to the people who had just killed 51 Americans and wounded 560 more earlier that month. Operation Phantom Fury in Fallujah was the heaviest US urban combat since the Vietnam War.

As noted in Islam Online, a diplomatic courtesy letter from Barbara Boxer helped make the trip possible.
On returning home from their trip to Fallujah Code Pink founder Medea Benjamin told reporters:
“I don’t know of any other case in history in which the parents of fallen soldiers collected medicine … for the families of the ‘other side’,” said Medea Benjamin, the founding director of Global Exchange, a human rights group. “It is a reflection of a growing movement in the United States … opposed to the unjust nature of this war,” she said.

11.5 Million People Unemployed Since Obama Took Office

Barack Obama and his Progressive Administration are constantly insisting America has recovered, the private sector is gaining jobs and some magical purple unicorn utopia will magically appear after each multiBillion Dollar spending package put together for Obama's Union backers and Special Interest leftist ideologue elitist..

Unfortunately for Obama and his faithful but clueless sidekicks, no promise of a unicorn utopia can hide the facts and failure. Not just stimulus failure, but the failure of Progressives all together.

The Economic Policy Institute provides a outline of private sector losses and failed $787 Billion economic stimulation that has led to 11.5 Million people jobless.

Long-term unemployment

The share of unemployed workers who have been unemployed for over six months dropped from 42% to 41.7% in September. This improvement likely reflects workers dropping out of the labor force after exhausting unemployment insurance benefits. Despite this, the long-term unemployed share remains the seventh-highest on record, and there are still 6.1 million workers who have been unemployed for longer than six months. These dramatic figures are unsurprising given that there are still 4.6 unemployed workers per available job. The median, or typical, unemployment spell rose from 19.9 to 20.4 weeks, and the average unemployment spell dropped from 33.6 to 33.3 weeks.

Underemployment

The “underemployment rate,” or the U-6 measure of labor underutilization, is a more comprehensive measure of labor market slack than the unemployment rate because it includes not just the officially unemployed, but also jobless workers who have given up looking for work and people who want full-time jobs but have had to settle for part-time work (note, however, it does not include people underemployed in the sense that they have had to take a job that is below their skills, training, or experience level). This measure increased by 0.4 percentage points to 17.1% in September, meaning that more than one in six U.S. workers was either unemployed or underemployed. The number of involuntary part-time workers increased by 612,000, while the number of “marginally attached” workers (jobless workers who have given up looking for work), increased by 139,000. In September, there were a total of 26.8 million workers who were either unemployed or underemployed.

Conclusion

As the chart shows, the labor market remains an estimated 8.1 million payroll jobs below where it was at the start of the recession in December 2007. This number includes both the 7.8 million jobs lost in the payroll data as currently published plus the announced preliminary benchmark revision of -366,000 jobs to last March’s employment level. And even this number understates the size of the gap in the labor market by failing to take into account the fact that simply to keep up with the growth in the working-age population, the labor market should have added around 3.4 million jobs since December 2007. This means the labor market is now roughly 11.5 million jobs below the level needed to restore the pre-recession unemployment rate (5.0% in December 2007). To get down to the pre-recession unemployment rate within five years, the labor market would have to add around 300,000 jobs every month for that entire period. In September, excluding changes in temporary Census hiring, the labor market lost 18,000.

Human Events reported: A liberal protester at the “One Nation Working Together” march physically assaulted a HUMAN EVENTS reporter who was videotaping Rep. Charlie Rangel (D.-N.Y) at the event at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

The reporter, Emily Miller, was first hit from behind while she was taping Rangel as the Harlem congressman glad-handed supporters in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Miss Miller is heard on the video saying, “Please don’t hit me.” The protester proceeds to yell at the reporter, “Well get out of the way! What do you think this is? A--hole.” The activist was attempting to meet Rangel herself. 1789: The U.S. Constitution goes into effect and the young nation goes on to become a great economic power. The rise in prosperity is fueled by entrepreneurship and the vast investment of private capital unhindered by the small and distant federal government.
1789: The ninth law passed by Congress transfers lighthouse operations from the states to the federal government.¹ When the Department of Commerce was created in the early 20th century, lighthouses were the department’s largest activity.
1790: The first national census is taken. The Constitution requires an enumeration of citizens every 10 years to apportion seats in the House of Representatives. Today, the Bureau of Census within Commerce collects a vast array of information beyond the basic decennial population data.
1795: The House of Representatives creates a Committee on Commerce and Manufactures. The Senate follows suit in 1816 with a committee of the same name.
1802: The Patent Bureau is established. It is moved to Commerce in 1925, where it remains as the Patent and Trademark Office. The granting of patents is an enumerated federal power under the Constitution.
1807: President Thomas Jefferson signs legislation providing for a “Survey of the Coast.” Federal mapping and surveying activities would end up in Commerce a century later, and then be incorporated into the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in 1970.²
1820: The Department of Treasury begins collecting and publishing statistics on foreign trade. Treasury’s collection of economic data expands in subsequent decades, and the activity is moved to Commerce in 1903.³
1842: The Department of State begins collecting information about foreign trade regulations. This activity expands over time and is also moved to Commerce in 1903.
1870: A national weather service is established under the Signal Corps of the U.S. Army. Later housed in the Department of Agriculture, it is transferred to Commerce in 1940.⁴
1871: A Commissioner of Fish and Fisheries is created. It is moved to Commerce in 1903, then moved to the Department of the Interior for a while, then back to Commerce, where it resides today as the National Marine Fisheries Service.
1901: In his first State of the Union address, President Theodore Roosevelt calls for the creation of a Secretary of Commerce and Industries. The purpose is to create a “comprehensive and far-reaching scheme” to oversee “our business interests,” he said.⁵ Roosevelt wanted to collect detailed economic information in order to increase federal regulation on businesses.
1901: The National Bureau of Standards is created and moved to Commerce two years later. The Constitution provides for the federal government to “fix the standard of weights and measures,” but the current National Institute of Standards and Technology pursues activities beyond that limited mandate.
1902: The Census Office is given permanent status. Previously, an organization to carry out the census was created and disbanded every ten years.
1903: The Department of Commerce and Labor is established with about 10,000 employees.⁶ Today, the Department of Commerce has about 40,000 employees.⁷
1909: The Department of Commerce and Labor has 11,999 employees, including 1,860 at headquarters and 10,139 outside of Washington, with the latter including the Lighthouse Service (7,067), Immigration Service (1,537), and Steamboat Inspection Service (303).⁸ In census-taking years, such as 1910, the number of employees balloons.
1913: The “Department of Commerce” is born when the Bureau of Labor is split off to form a new Department of Labor. An official history of the Department of Labor notes that its founding “was the direct product of a half-century campaign by organized labor for a ‘Voice in the Cabinet.’”⁹
1915: The Bureau of Corporations within Commerce is moved to the new Federal Trade Commission.
1918: Lighthouse Service workers are granted the first federal employee retirement plans. Today, overly generous pension and retiree health benefits for federal workers has created an enormous $5 trillion unfunded obligation.¹⁰
1926: The Aeronautics Branch is created in Commerce, the forerunner of today’s Federal Aviation Administration.
1927: A Radio Division is created in Commerce. Its activities are later moved to the Federal Radio Commission, and then the Federal Communications Commission.
1932: The current Commerce headquarters building is opened. It is a massive edifice covering eight acres, and the largest office complex in the world at the time.¹¹
1933: Some senators supportive of the New Deal consider abolishing the Department of Commerce and transferring its indispensible functions to other agencies.¹²
1942: The Bureau of Census provides detailed information about the neighborhoods where Japanese-Americans live in order to help the War Department round 120,000 people up and put them into internment camps.¹³ In some cases, the bureau provides lists to federal authorities that include the names and addresses of individual Japanese-Americans.
1945: The Office of Business Economics—now the Bureau of Economic Analysis—is established.
1961: The Area Redevelopment Administration is created to distribute subsidies to depressed areas of the country. It is replaced in 1965 by the Economic Development Administration. The ARA and the EDA achieve notoriety for wasteful pork barrel spending, the latter becoming a frequent target of Sen. William Proxmire’s “Golden Fleece” citations.¹⁴
1966: The transportation activities of Commerce are moved to the new Department of Transportation.
1969: The Office of Minority Business Enterprise is established. Today it is the Minority Business Development Agency.
1970: The Office of Telecommunications is created, and later becomes the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.
1970: The National Technical Information Service is established.
1970: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is formed. Apparently, it is housed in Commerce because President Richard Nixon did not get along with his Secretary of the Interior.¹⁵
1977: The Office of Energy Programs in Commerce is moved to the new Department of Energy.
1980: The International Trade Administration is created in Commerce. The ITA’s activities include subsidizing exports and enforcing barriers to imports.
1981: The U.S. Travel and Tourism Administration is created. This agency was closed in 1996, but Commerce still operates an Office of Travel and Tourism Industries.
1988: The Advanced Technology Program and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership are established to subsidize businesses in response to concerns that U.S. industry is falling behind foreign competition. ATP is renamed the Technology Innovation Program in 2007.
1993: President Bill Clinton names political operative, Ron Brown, to be Secretary of Commerce. Brown’s tenure is marred by investigations into how he used taxpayer financed foreign trade junkets to raise campaign contributions.¹⁶ The Boston Globe found that “coveted slots on U.S. foreign trade missions generated a major fund-raising bonanza for the Democratic Party.”¹⁷
1995: The new Republican House majority fails in an attempt to dismantle Commerce. Former Secretary of Commerce, Robert Mosbacher, calls the agency “nothing more than a hall closet where you throw in everything that you don’t know what to do with.”¹⁸
1998: U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth determines that Commerce officials systematically concealed and destroyed documents relating to the Brown trade mission scandal.¹⁹ He compares the behavior of Commerce officials to that of “con artists” and “scofflaws,” pointing to the “flurry of document shredding in the Secretary’s office” after Brown died.²⁰ The scandal illustrates the dangers of entangling the government in promoting private business interests.
1999: Political operative and deputy assistant secretary for international economic affairs at Commerce, John Huang, pleads guilty of campaign finance violations after steering millions of dollars to the Democratic Party, often from unknown sources.²¹ At Commerce, Huang received dozens of classified briefings at the same time that he was keeping in close contact with foreign governments and business interests.²²
2006: In response to a congressional inquiry, the department admits more than 1,100 laptops have gone missing since 2001, many containing sensitive personal data.²³
2008: The Inspector General of Commerce reports that 10 percent of the department’s 2006 budget consisted of congressional earmarks.²⁴

Bloomberg Reports: The jobless rate probably rose in September for a second month as the year-old U.S. recovery failed to generate enough jobs to keep up with a growing labor force, economists said before a report this week.

Unemployment climbed to 9.7 percent from 9.6 percent in August, according to the median estimate of 62 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News ahead of an Oct. 8 report from the Labor Department. The data may also show companies added 77,000 workers to payrolls, and total hiring stagnated amid cuts in government staffing as the decennial census wound down.

So favorably in fact, they couldn't stand the thought of America seeing the puny turn out compared to Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally August 28th, so C-Span cropped one of Becks photo's, using it in a desperate attempt to hide the failed communist celebration.

The Blaze Writes: In promoting its coverage of Saturday’s “One Nation” rally in Washington, D.C., C-SPAN’s website offered visitors a peak at what the rally looked like on the ground along the National Mall:

Obama Administration Admits to Inviting FBI Terror Suspect to White House

Terrorists/communists/marxists/socialists and just about every freedom-hating life-sucking anti-prosperity parasite you can think of, seems to be priority on the Obama Administrations White House guest list.

GatwayPundit Reported: Last Friday FBI agents raided the homes of far left activists in Chicago and Minneapolis who are linked to the Marxist FARC terrorists and Islamic radicals as part of a terrorism investigation.

Hatem Abudayyeh is the executive director of the Arab American Action Network (AAAN). Hatem Abudayyeh has been with the Arab American Action Network (AAAN) since 1999, and was appointed Executive Director in 2003. The Arab American Action Network was founded by former PLO operative and close Obama family friend Rashid Khalidi. Obama was a director of the Woods Fund from 1994 through 2001, when the board approved a $40,000 grant to the Arab American Action Network.

In 2003 Barack Obama was an honored guest at a dinner sponsored by the AAAN for former PLO-operative Rashid Khalidi. During the dinner a video was taken that shows Barack Obama celebrating with members of this Palestinian group who are openly hostile towards Israel. Barack Obama even gave a toast to a Rashid Khalidi at this going away party. The LA Times will not release the video from this Jew-bashing dinner.

Not only was Hatem Abudayyeh’s radical organization given $40,000 by Barack Obama and the Woods Fund but his organization also collected nearly half a million in taxpayer money.

Politico Reported: An Arab-American activist who attended an outreach session at the White House complex in April had his Chicago home raided by the FBI last week and appears to be a focus of an unfolding federal terrorism-support investigation.

Hatem Abudayyeh, who serves as executive director of the Arab-American Action Network, took part in a meeting for Arab-American leaders held in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on April 22, according to appointment data posted on the White House website.

“He attended a briefing held by the Office of Public Engagement on April 22, 2010, to update members of the Arab-American community on issues of their concern,” White House spokesman Shin Inouye said.

The guest list for the event was drafted by the Arab-American Institute. Inouye said President Barack Obama did not take part in the session, which appears to have involved more than 80 people…

…The warrant and subpoena suggest the probe, which is being run by U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald in Chicago, is focusing on illegal support for terrorist organizations, particularly by a Minnesota-based group called the Freedom Road Socialist Organization. PFLP, FARC and Hezbollah are designated as terrorist groups by the U.S. government. A spokesman for Fitzgerald’s office declined to comment on the probe.

Abudayyeh has not been charged with any crime, nor do the court documents made public by targets of the searches make any explicit allegation of ties between the Chicago activist and any of the groups.

The White House briefing Abudayyeh attended was organized by the Arab-American Institute in connection with its annual dinner and related events, AAI President James Zogby said Friday.

“Each year we do a leadership summit of our institute leadership also of leadership from the Arab-American network. That is a network of Arab –American community and social service organizations and the group in Chicago is one of the network members and so they were invited,” Zogby said. “We did, as part of the weekend, a White House briefing and Hatem was included as part of the network.”

Zogby said the national network Abudayyeh’s group is part of works on domestic issues, such as immigration reform and civil liberties. “I know Hatem is active on those issues in Chicago. He’s very much a part of immigration reform coalitions there. That that would have been the purpose of the network’s inclusion in this meeting,” Zogby said…

A lawyer for Abudayyeh, Jim Fennerty, said he was not aware of his client’s White House visit. Asked if the investigation into Abudayyeh was underway at the time of his White House visit in April, Finnerty said, “We only became aware of [the probe] when people got their houses raided and search warrants carried out…..I think the grand jury started sitting a year ago though.” The lawyer said the investigation may extend back to protests held in connection with the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., in 2008.

Fennerty said he believed his client was being targeted because of his anti-war activism. On the Israeli-Palestinian issue, the attorney said Abudayyeh supports “a single, secular democratic state,” not the two-state solution endorsed by the U.S.

In a 2006 interview with Fight Back News, an outlet run by Minneapolis activist Kelly, Abudayyeh seemed to disagree rather strenuously with at least some of the U.S. government’s use of the “terrorist” label.

“The U.S. and Israel will continue to describe Hamas, Hezbollah and the other Palestinian and Lebanese resistance organizations as ‘terrorists,’ but the real terrorists are the governments and military forces of the U.S. and Israel,” Abudayyeh said. “The vast majority of the world sees and understands this, and are in full support of Lebanese, Palestinian and worldwide resistance to Israel and the U.S.’s naked aggression, war, imperialism and occupation.”

Fennerty said he was surprised to hear Abudayyeh was invited to a White House event. “He runs like a social-welfare office that helps people get citizenship, apply for benefits, welfare if they’re entitled to it,” the lawyer said.

According to a bio on the AAAN website, Abudayyeh has been affiliated with the group since 1999 and took over as executive director in 2003.

Abudayyeh’s White House visit was noted Thursday by several conservative websites, including the Gateway Pundit blog at First Things magazine.

Abudayyeh’s group, AAAN, briefly drew attention during the presidential campaign following reports that a foundation on whose board Obama served donated $40,000 to the group for “community organizing” in 2001. Conservative critics said the group and Abudayyeh have promoted anti-Israeli views. AAAN officials said the organization is strictly focused on local community issues and doesn’t get involved in international politics.

In 2003, Obama spoke at an AAAN-sponsored farewell dinner for Rashid Khalidi, a professor who was decamping from the University of Chicago to Columbia. During the 2008 campaign, the Los Angeles Times obtained a video of the event and reported that Obama lavished praise on Khalidi, who once served as a spokesman for the Palestinian Liberation Organization. Other speakers at the event railed against Israeli policies.

Late in the 2008 campaign, Republican nominee Sen. John McCain attacked the Times for failing to make the video public. The newspaper said it obtained the video on the condition that it not be released publicly. -More Here
